How to Apply

The process to apply for an ALDOR internship is easy. You will need the following documents:

  • State Intern Application Form
  • Official college transcript(s) from each university/college attended
  • At least two letters of reference (At least one letter of reference must be from a university department head, dean or instructor. This letter must be on university/college letterhead and signed by the professor.) Letters that do not meet these requirements will not be accepted.

Note: The intern application is a fillable PDF form that can be emailed or mailed as soon as it is been completed. The other necessary documents (transcripts and letters of reference) can be submitted as soon as they are obtained.

Steps to Apply

1. Complete the State Intern Application form and email it to internship@revenue.alabama.gov. (After completing the application, be sure to save it under a different name before emailing it.)

IMPORTANT: Fill in as much information as possible on the application. Under “Education” on the first page of the application, please list all related courses (accounting, business, information technology/computer science, etc.) you have taken. Sign and date the application on the bottom of page 1 of the form.

2. Request official college transcripts for each accredited postsecondary academic institution attended, and have the university or college mail them directly to:

The university or college can also electronically send the student’s official transcript to internship@revenue.alabama.gov.

NOTE: Unofficial transcripts submitted by a student will not be accepted.

3. Submit at least two letters of reference (see note above) by email to internship@revenue.alabama.gov or by postal mail to the address above. Letters from academic sources must be signed by the academic and on university/college letterhead.
