Scam Alert — Beware of Fraudulent Text Messages Enforcing Traffic Violations
Do Not Click Links, Do Not Respond, Delete the Message
ALDOR has received reports of fraudulent text messages appearing to come from ALDOR looking to enforce penalties on unsuspecting recipients resulting from “unpaid traffic tickets” or other traffic violations. These messages may ask users to click a link or take some other action that can compromise the text recipient’s personal information. DO NOT CLICK THIS LINK.
ALDOR does not enforce traffic laws or penalize people for unpaid tickets, and ALDOR does not contact taxpayers through text messages. If you receive any sort of message like this, do not click any included links, do not respond to the message, and delete the message immediately.
Protect your information. NEVER give personal details and financial information away if you don’t know for sure who you are giving it to.
