If you dispose of hazardous waste in Alabama, then you can conveniently pay the required state fees to ALDOR through My Alabama Taxes. The fees, which are based on the toxicity of the waste disposed of, is due by the 30th of the month for the previous month’s activity.

Note: Sumter County also levies $2 per drum or $5 per ton on waste disposed of at the Emelle disposal facility. Contact the Alabama Department of Environmental Management concerning any additional fees which they might collect regarding the disposition of hazardous waste.
