Entity Registration & Processing Services

The Entity Registration Unit assists taxpayers registering their new entity or making changes to their existing entity. Additionally, the Unit ensures entities pay the appropriate fees and taxes.

All entities are required to register for My Alabama Taxes (MAT). It’s a quick and easy way to file tax returns, make payments, view letters, manage your accounts, and conduct other common transactions. The following information is required to register for a tax account within MAT:

  • Legal Name
  • Location (Street Address)
  • Contact Information
  • Officer/Owner Information
  • FEIN
  • Date of Organization or Qualification
  • NAICS Code
  • Entity Subtype
  • Commence Date

All entities are required to register for My Alabama Taxes (MAT). If you are an existing entity without a MAT account, see New Entity Tab for registration information.

If you are an existing entity with an existing account visit MAT to:

  • Add an account
  • Add a location
  • Update a taxpayer information
  • Close an account
