MEMORANDUM 2020-011

TO: License Plate Issuing Officials
SUBJECT: Alabama Bicentennial and Non-Interstate License Plates

The Alabama Bicentennial Plate will no longer be available for issuance beginning January 1, 2021. At that time, please remove all license plates from your shelves and retain them for audit purposes. Registrants with this plate will be required to purchase a different plate during their renewal month.

Beginning January 1, 2021, a restricted use Non-Interstate license plate must be issued to qualifying Low Speed Vehicles (LSVs). Administrative Rule 810-5-1-.238 addresses this change.
