MEMORANDUM 2021-001

TO: License Plate Issuing Officials
SUBJECT: New License Plates for Issuance Beginning February 1, 2021

Beginning February 1, 2021, there will be a new generic distinctive license plate for Kruzn for a Kure, and there will also be a new distinctive plate for Albertville City Schools Foundation. A shipment of plates was ordered for each county based on the pre commitment report numbers for each county. Please note personalized and pre-numbered plates may be ordered on the Plate Reservation and Ordering System (PROS) and additional bulk orders for pre-numbered plates may be ordered using the Alabama Inventory Management System (AIMS) beginning February 1, 2021.

The tag numbering schemes for the license plates may be found on the Motor Vehicle Division website at https://revenue.alabama.gov/motor-vehicle/ under “Reference & Statistics” then “Registration File Information.”
