Beginning September 1, 2023, the Alabama Department of Revenue (ALDOR) is upgrading and
relocating access to our Nexus Questionnaire and Voluntary Disclosure Agreement (VDA) processes
through our My Alabama Taxes portal at https://myalabamataxes.alabama.gov.
The Nexus Questionnaire is designed to allow business taxpayers to provide information to ALDOR
for use in determining whether the taxpayer has a tax filing obligation with the state.
The Voluntary Disclosure Program is offered as a service to business taxpayers who want to become
compliant with the tax laws of Alabama and limit their exposure for retroactive tax liability and
penalties.
The first two weeks of September will be a transition period during which ALDOR will accept the
electronic questionnaires and applications from the old portals; however, during this transition period
we strongly encourage submission only through the My Alabama Taxes portal. As was available in
the old portals, access to all questionnaires and applications will be available in one location.
Beginning September 15, 2023, electronic questionnaires and applications via the old Nexus and
VDA portals will not be accepted.
Third-party submitters/representatives who do not already have an Agent (AGT-) account with
ALDOR must register for a Bulk Filer/Agent account before submitting applications or
questionnaires for their clients in My Alabama Taxes:

To submit in My Alabama Taxes, click “Nexus Questionnaire/Voluntary Disclosure Agreement” in
the “Businesses” section on the homepage.
