MEMORANDUM 2018-010
TO: License Plate Issuing Officials
SUBJECT: Redesigned License Plate for Issuance Beginning November 1, 2018
The University of South Alabama license plate has been redesigned and will be available for issuance beginning November 1, 2018.  A shipment of plates will be ordered for each county based on the number of current registrations.  Please note personalized and pre-numbered plates may be ordered on the Plate Reservation and Ordering System (PROS) beginning November 1, 2018.  At that time, please remember to remove all license plates with the old design from your shelves and retain them for audit purposes.
The tag numbering schemes for the license plates may be found on the Motor Vehicle Division website at https://revenue.alabama.gov/motor-vehicle/ under “Reference & Statistics” then “Registration File Information.”
