All residents of Alabama who are vehicle owners and members of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., may purchase license plates in this category.

Registrants who applied for the plate category through the ALDOR pre-commitment system will have a redemption voucher which serves as evidence that the required documentation has been presented to ALDOR. All other registrants desiring to purchase a license plate in this category must present to the license plate issuing official a card distributed by the organization denoting the individual’s membership in the organization. In lieu of a membership card, the registrant must present a letter signed by the chapter president, on the chapter’s letterhead, stating that the individual is a member of the fraternity. Because membership in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., is for lifetime, it is not necessary to present these proof documents each year.
