Dealer Transit: Motorcycle

A motorcycle dealer, wholesaler or re-builer who has a current dealer license as required by Section 40-12-51, 40-12-54 or 40-12-62 along with Section 40-12-391 dealer regulatory license may purchase up to a maximum of ten (10) motorcycle dealer transit license plates.

Motorcycle dealers must present the Act 539 regulatory license and Section 62 or Section 51 license to the licensing official before dealer transit motorcycle plates can be issued. Motor vehicle wholesalers and re-builders must present the ACT 539 regulatory license and Section 54 license.

No personalized tags.

License plate design changes annually.

Plates in this category are not assigned to a specific motorcycle; therefore, the plates may be moved among motorcycles in the dealer’s inventory.

Fees

  • Registration fees are distributed in accordance with the provisions of Sections 40-12-269, 40-12-270 and 40-12-274.
  • Registration fees are $18.00 per plate.
