Any manufacturer of private passenger automobiles, trucks, truck tractors, trailers, or manufactured homes who has manufacturing facilities located in this state.

Manufacturers must present the Section 87 license to the licensing official before manufacturer plates can be issued.

License plate design changes annually.

Plates in this category are not assigned to a specific vehicle or manufactured home; therefore, the plates may be moved among vehicles and manufactured homes in the manufacturer’s inventory as long as they were manufactured by the registrant obtaining the license plates.

Can be used for private passenger automobiles, trucks, truck tractors, trailers, or manufactured homes manufactured at a manufacturing facility located in this state. The plates may only be used to transport and test new vehicles or manufactured homes owned by the manufacturer.

Fees

  • Registration fees are distributed in accordance with the provisions of Sections 40-12-269, 40-12-270 and 40-12-274.
  • Registration fees are $26.00 per plate.
  • No personalized tags.
