The words “letter carrier” means only those persons who are employed by the United States Postal Service and who are employed as letter carriers or who are retired from the United States Postal Service as letter carriers.
Individuals desiring to obtain the Letter Carrier distinctive license plate must present a card that identifies them as a letter carrier or retired letter carrier.

How are these plates ordered? Individual plates are ordered On Demand through the Plate Reservation and Ordering System (PROS). Counties may place bulk orders are placed using the Alabama Inventory Management System (AIMS).
