Truck/Truck Tractor

Information

Issued to pickup trucks, trucks, and truck tractors.

A pickup truck is defined as a truck with not more than two axles and a gross weight under 12,000 pounds. A pickup truck used for personal or “agricultural use” (Section 41-14-51) shall be registered for the empty (unladen) weight of the truck only, even if the agricultural use could normally be considered as commercial use.

Fees

Registration fees are based on the declared gross vehicle weight (GVW) of the vehicle being registered.

Registration fees are distributed in accordance with the provisions of Sections 40-12-269, 40-12-270,and 40-12-274.
