NOTICE

ATTENTION: ALL TOBACCO DISTRIBUTORS, WHOLESALERS
AND RETAILERS
SUBJECT: FAYETTE COUNTY TOBACCO STAMPS

Effective June 1, 2020, cigarette tax must be collected by affixing the appropriate Fayette County tobacco revenue stamp to all cigarette packages sold within this county. Please submit your order for the required stamps via https://myalabamataxes.alabama.gov/_/#1 (MAT) beginning May 22,
2020, for application beginning June 1. Cigarette packages without the appropriate stateadministered county stamp shall be subject to confiscation. As a reminder, the building continues to be closed to the public; therefore, these stamps will be shipped via FedEx.

Please ensure that the person responsible for preparing the monthly state-administered county tobacco tax returns receives this notice. You may contact the Tobacco Tax Section with questions at 334-242-9627 or Tobacco.Account@Revenue.Alabama.gov or P. O. Box 327555,
