To qualify for the plate the veteran must provide one of the following:
The Application for Disability Access Parking Privileges must be provided to obtain the disability access license plate.
The plates may not be personalized.
The plates are not transferable between vehicle owners, provided upon the death of the qualifying veteran, the surviving spouse may retain the license plate. A surviving spouse may also obtain the plate.
The registrant is exempt from registration fees and ad valorem taxes for the first plate.
