The net proceeds of the $50 annual fee are distributed to the Vulcan Park Foundation to preserve and promote Vulcan as the symbol for the Birmingham region, to advance knowledge and understanding of Birmingham’s history and culture, and to encourage exploration of the region. Additionally, the funds will be used to provide high-quality museum tours, as well as educational and cultural experiences for visitors of all ages.
Personalized license plates may be transferred, at the option of the transferor, to the transferor’s spouse or child upon payment of the transfer fees.
